To blog is to be under the illusion that other people care about what one has to say. Being so deluded, I decided to create Pardon My French. 

I'm an aspiring academic, currently doing an MA at the University of Chicago. I used to study at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, and I did my undergrad at George Washington University. I study anthropology and Islamic studies, and I'm interested in Indonesia, Islamic thought, social movements, Marxism, epistemology, and education. 

I love cooking, analogies, humidity, maps, and human company. I can't stand bananas, naps, wearing socks, and when people don't use their turn signal.
